Rita, Tumbleweed’s creator, is a trainer, facilitator, coach, and moderator with extensive experience organizing and hosting high-impact events around the world.
With a highly international background herself, Rita specializes in designing learning environments for diverse, multicultural groups.
With great professionalism and a light touch, Rita instilled a very positive and joyful energy throughout the seminar. She did this by setting up very original workshops that really contributed to group cohesion. Tumbleweed workshops are highly interactive and conducted with a team or small group. Our intuitive and experienced facilitator guides the group through activities, reflections, and learnings. Workshops can be in any format (online, hybrid, in person) and last from a few hours to several days, based on the desired outcome. Tumbleweed workshops are highly customizable to fit your schedule, needs, and participants, and are specially designed for groups with mixed backgrounds, identities, and nationalities.
Intercultural Communication
In this workshop we cover:
- Understanding that behavior is highly complex and based on factors beyond your nationality, ethnicity, or religion
- There is a wide range of ways to communicate and see the world and all of them are valid
- Our brains are wired to assign “in-groups” and “out-groups” instantaneously and without our realizing it (which causes bias and leads to discimination)
- Changing the way you think when encountering difference is a slow and tedious journey, but participants learn the information, tools, and techniques to practice over time to evolve their mindset
Confidence & Public Speaking in a Non-Native Language
This workshop addresses imposter syndrome, insecurity, and perfectionism: which can quickly deflate our confidence while delivering a talk or presentation. Learn methods for projecting your best self used by speakers, singers, and performers.
Presentation Skills & Slide-Making Basics
This workshop aims to help less-experienced presenters learn key elements of designing slides that are sleek and easy to read, as well as learn presentation and public speaking tips and tricks (for online, in person, and hybrid presentations).
Brainstorming / Ideations / Retrospectives
Ensure that your important team meeting is efficient, reaches the desired outcome (without needing to schedule yet another meeting), and includes all team member’s voices equally. We use the latest methods and tools to maximize participation and innovative thinking.
